My pop-up is up, so we’re on the move again – but this time for good! I have really enjoyed my two years in Chelsea Green, and will miss my fellow shopkeepers enormously – it’s been a joy to work alongside experts, passionate about the wonderful products they supply and produce.
It’s almost impossible to believe that another Christmas time is fast approaching, and I’m so far behind this year… Not one mince pie, panetone or glass of mulled wine has passed my lips as yet, which could be due to too much work, and insufficient play – or perhaps more the fact that I over-indulged far too early last year, and vowed never to do the same again!
Now the days are shorter, and there’s a definite chill in the air, it’s recognition that the long summer days (at least in Britain), are but memories of this year, and the comfort season is well and truly here. As the nights draw in, and winter coats emerge from the backs of wardrobes, there is no doubt that wearing sumptuous layerings of cashmere, wool, and fur hats and accessories make autumn such a pleasure.
Summer holidays are now all but lovely memories for most of us, as a new school year begins, and the approach of autumn, with cooler mornings and evenings. There are many ways to be reminded it’s autumn again, and I’m looking forward to working with my favourite fabrics, to layer, and keep the chill at bay!
